Sometimes I get lonely
Thinking about the distance 
Between you

And me

But then I think
About the smiles through text
The long cool nights 
Spent with two
Panes of glowing glass
Between our faces 
As we drift into mutual slumber.
Our hearts growing closer
While our bodies still far.

Just a train ride away,
Sometimes a bit further,
But it’s all okay.

Our hugs,
Our kisses,
Your hand in mine,
It all means more 
Than anything before.
We just have to be patient, 
We remind ourselves
And each other. 
Patience is key,
Repeat after me,
Patience is key.

Us; You and Me

I plan to upload poems I've written here and there, for class or for personal reflection. Though I enjoy the way I structure my poems, I prefer people hearing them in my voice as well.
