    An actual vocal melody

Neither was very ambitious or successful, but deadline: MET!

Lyrics written on the spot, then refined to the melody of Lady Madonna. Several drafts are left in the mix. 

Last line is probably the chorus (a new thing?) of another song, if I get there!

Another one done almost entirely in the car in an hour and a half

The 3rd verse was recorded the next morning

I've been trying to use that percussion for months- it's from a machine Maddie Fix has, delightful analog foxtrot and other settings. 

This song turned out grouchier than I initially intended. Originally it was about staring at simple things- bottles, etc and letting that be what moved you, but it became about misanthropy. Oh well, it always seems to go there, doesn't it?

This song unfortunately maligns Bahrain, a country I have no beef with.

OMG that last song was such torture I had to get something out FAST. I was longing so much for the old voices I used, on an old computer. They were lost, I was lost, I missed them. Where were they? I wrote about them, or for them, dragged out the old computer and recorded a bunch of them reading these words.

The next day I was trying to figure out Kate Bush's Snowflake on the piano (ha- no) and came up with some of the piano phrases here. 

Voila, one day or so. THANK GOD I feel ok again.
