Olive F kick starts 2025 with her first solo release on the Defected family of labels, ‘Hot Sauce’ on DFTD. After playing an incredible number of shows for Defected throughout 2024, including flagship festivals Croatia and Malta and their NYE takeover of The Warehouse Project, Olive F was the first host Defected’s Radio Show in 2025. With a title that carries on Olive’s food-themed throughline, ‘Hot Sauce’ has been teased throughout many of her hard-hitting sets; sample-led loops and patterns featuring upbeat vocals and jazzy club rhythms create a euphoric and eclectic sound that is distinctly Olive F.

Label boss LP Giobbi unveils four singles on her Yes Yes Yes imprint, celebrating Women’s History Month in March 2025.
The Austin-based producer and multi-instrumentalist’s commitment to empowering women is apparent across her many artistic endeavours, from establishing her non-profit organisation FEMME HOUSE to consistently championing female identifying and non-binary folks on her Yes Yes Yes imprint.
 
Joining LP Giobbi for this special four-part series is rising producer Philou, fresh US talent Alex Golden and Detroit house and techno figurehead DJ Minx, each presenting a unique electronic release each week for Women’s History Month this March. The four solo releases are united not only through the shared initiative, but also visually with a shared artwork motif that slots together in harmony.
 
Launching the series on 07 March 2025, Philou returns to Yes Yes Yes with ‘Acid Martini’. Debuting on the label back in October 2024 with ‘Disco Nap’, the burgeoning artist now showcases her range with a deeper club sound; ‘Acid Martini’ is bursting with expressive, squelchy synthwork and adorned with modern narrative sampling.
 
The second outing arrives the following week, 14 March, as Alex Golden makes her label debut; ‘Tisno Twist’ showcases the producer’s electronic depth with a nod to the beloved home of some of the scene’s finest festivals in Croatia.
Her first solo Yes Yes Yes release since ‘Time Expands’ launched the imprint in September 2023, LP Giobbi’s ‘Galt’ arrives on 21 March, paying homage to Canadian-American composer Galt MacDermot whose distinct piano style is front-and-centre in all its bright, jazzy exquisiteness.
 
Rounding off this celebratory collection on 28 March is Women on Wax founder DJ Minx, a champion of women in music who has earned respect from some of the world’s most respected institutions. ‘Forget’ is a fierce techno roller bursting with relentless energy approaching its alarming climax – an impressive end to this very special series celebrating the music, voices and stories of women.

Modern house champion Butch returns to Defected alongside genre-hopping songwriter and vocalist Life On Planets with ‘Get High With You’. Butch’s 2023 release ‘I Want You’ with Nic Fanciulli was one of Defected’s most celebrated, and in 2025 he returned to the London label, remixing Duck Sauce’s ‘Fallin In Love’ which charted in the Beatport top ten and was supported by Danny Howard, Arielle Free and Sarah Story on BBC Radio 1. Also no stranger to the Defected family, Life On Planets landed on sister label Classic Music Company in 2023 alongside Lubelski with the eclectic ‘Mercury In Retrograde’, a tastemaker release showcasing the multi-instrumentalists soulful vocals and songwriting prowess. The two artists now come together on Defected, after Butch remixed Life On Planets’ ‘Downstream’ with Makèz; ‘Get High With You’ shows a clear reverence for the noughties, but modern harmonic progressions and daring production choices propel the record into 2025 and beyond.

Iconic British production duo Groove Armada return to DFTD with a special, four-track remix package spotlighting leaders of the house scene. First up, Scottish tastemaker and international electronic creative Austin Ato lends his unique sound to the instantly recognisable GA classic ‘I See You Baby’; with early support from the likes of A-Trak, Gina Breeze and Melé, Austin’s immense take on the electronic favourite is sure to dominate the coming festival seasons and beyond. Next up, UK tastemakers Nautica flip 2007’s Love Sweet Sound featuring the iconic Candi Staton on vocals, morphing it into a deep, club-ready cut. What follows is a collaborative remix of ‘My Friend’ from Evokings, DOT and simo not simon, uniting the three Brazilian producers and good friends to create a blissed-out remix that celebrates the unique electronic scene of Rio De Janiero. Closing out this four-track package is French Alpine DJ and producer Eliza Bogan’s hard-hitting remix of breakout hit ‘Superstylin’’, with Groove Armada closing the main stage at 2025’s Snowboxx Festival in Avoriaz to an explosive crowd using this very remix.
