Carrying on with a mission of being the household for up-and-coming producers whose vision, talent and skills will shape the sound of coming generations, refused. unveils ‘Behemoth’ by newcomer Dustin Holstberry, emerging from the high desert of the American Southwest.

Holding within a dark, psychedelic presence, the tracks included on ‘Behemoth’ are full of ecstatic, soaring peaks and plunging lows held together by tight grooves defined with heavy rolling bass, stomping kick drums, and hard pounding snares. 

Holstberry’s signature production approach gained support from internationally renowned labels such as Deeperfect, Funk n’ Deep, and IAMT to name a few. 

As the name suggests, ‘Behemoth’ will engulf and overwhelm the senses of the listeners and ignite the desire to dance the night away.

Drumcode returns with its 6th installment of the internationally celebrated A-Sides series. Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Beyer’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label.

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week.

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends.

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year.

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’.

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.

Watergate welcome back two of Hamburg’s finest and most recent international exports: Adana Twins. Last seen on their latest Various Artists compilation, the duo returns with three absolutely stunning tracks of low slung, infectious cuts blurring the lines between House and Techno with an undeniable brush stroke of character the two are quickly becoming synonymous for. 

‘Flower Of Cane’ kicks things off in an almost sinister fashion with massive low end bursts and a fever inducing, single note that never stops rising culminating in a climactic crescendo of dance floor euphoria while ‘Ortus’ takes a much more ‘up-beat’ approach with dreamy arpeggios and shimmering atmospherics laid over a pulsing bassline resulting in a gorgeous number ideal for a number of memorable moments.

Wrapping up the originals is the guaranteed summer anthem: 'Relentless fest. Jeppe Kjellberg’ where sultry vocals and lush aural artifacts launch sensations to uncharted new heights. Not done yet, we asked none other than the brilliant Andre Lodemann to create his revision of ‘Relentless feat. Jeep Kjellberg’ and he, as always, delivered big time. With not only one but two solid reworks of the original Lodemann’s remixes need no description other than there is a vocal and a dub version to satisfy any DJ’s sensibility. We hope you enjoy.

Vin Sol is about to unleash a new EP on Honey Soundsytem, titled Moonchild. According to the label, they have rejected "killer track after killer track" from the San Francisco native. "There is no artist in the history of our label that we have given a harder time to than Vin Sol," they add. "We finally made our peace, and selected the four tracks that encompass the Moonchild EP you have here..."
Vin Sol is a long time friend of the label with previous releases on Rhythm Nation, Nonplus, and Ultramajic. The EP is said to read "like a metaphor for the two sides of the city where it was made." The two openers, "Moonchild" and "Electrical Storms," "reminisce the mystical and spiritual love affair San Francisco has had since the '60s while "Patronize" and Bondage Taped" reference "the sexually adventurous side the city indoctrinates to all its visitors."

Durch seinen Freundeskreis hatte @franandco schon in seiner frühen Jugend viele Kontakte zu orientalischer, insbesondere persischer Popmusik. „Außergewöhnliche Klänge mochte ich schon immer“, gesteht der Musiker. Nun hat er einen neuen Track produziert: „Shah Parvaz“. In den ersten Teilen der Nummer hört man ein Kanun und gegen Ende die orientalische Flöte Nay. (...) Das Stück „Shah Parvaz“ kommt mit einer gediegenen Bassline daher. Kurz nach einem intensiven Break folgen die hypnotischen Vocals. Eine fesselnde Synth-Sequenz begleitet den Track und orientalische Flötensounds runden das ganze ab. (...)

The second release of DGTL Records is by the British Fort Romeau. 

Fort Romeau gained recognition with his cultivated ear and apprehension of music, that brought him to put together different styles to create something new and extra to the widespread spectrum of electronic music. The British talent came into the spotlight with releases on Running Back and Ghostly International amongst others.
 
Where ‘Untitled II’ feels like a luminous house tune, with a soundscape that takes you on a journey on top, ‘A Familiar Place’ adds darkness to the EP. The B-side is made up out of raw elements that take you to some industrial site right away. The high tempo kick and hi-hat create a sturdy flow that makes it hard to sit still. All in all, it advocates the vision of the festival and its label, in every way.

It's a noteworthy thing to be picked up and noticed by Last Night On Earth honcho Sasha, and that's exactly what Tibi Dabo (real name Max Guardans) has managed to do at just 21 years of age. Ready to live up to expectations, Tibi Dabo has arrived with a new EP called 'Ende' that's set for an October 27 release on LNOE. 

'Perpetua Mobilia' gives itself away in the title, a racing track that never ceases in its electric energy from opening 'til close. ​"‘Perpetua Mobilia’ means constant movement," Tibi Dabo explains. "The record itself is my attempt at recreating the ‘trance-like state’ one can experience whilst listening to loud and physical music for several hours."
