Obviously we haven't seen much of him, but the concept of sans being an annoying asshole who takes cheap shots at every opportunity... in the context of this au, where we are essentially looking through the lens of someone who plays Genocide over and over again for fun? Yeah, they WOULD see Sans like that. That makes total sense.
