Everything stopped. Well, not everything. 

But we all kinda froze in place; had to.

I became a dad. I quit a bad job and replaced it with a great one. 

Finally, after months lying dormant, the clouds lifted and my love of music returned.

We're vaccinated now. Immune, as far as we know. Ready, tentatively, to start moving again.

This set is full of tracks which would sound good alongside the landscape gliding past the window of a train, or on the sweep of a freeway winding out of the mountains, or maybe whilst peering down through the clouds at the winding course of a great river.

It's an awakening.

No Walls in Water

“Dreaming” is a deep melodic house journey that blends warm analog synths with a deep rolling bassline and hypnotic percussive grooves. Ethereal female vocal phrases drift in and out like fragments of memory, airy and emotional against a backdrop of lush pads and evolving textures. Smooth and progressive, the track avoids big drops in favor of a flowing, immersive build. Both introspective and danceable, it captures a sense of emotional depth while keeping the energy moving—a perfect soundtrack for late-night reflection or sunrise moments.

Dreaming

Silent Mind is a deep house track with a deep, steady bass and soft, drifting melodies.

I wrote it to capture that feeling on the dance floor when you stop thinking and just move — when the sound feels like it’s carrying you, almost weightless.

It’s not about perfect structure or flashy drops; it’s about that quiet, shared moment where the music seems to dissolve the space between you and everyone else.

Project Abacus is my way of exploring how human feeling and machine-driven sound can meet — and as technology grows, so does the project.

Musically, it’s deep but upbeat. It’s hopeful and also sad. It’s a celebration of all that we love and a memorial to all those we’ve lost.
