Dancing Astronaut Premiere 'Quote':
One of the newest additions to PRMD Music/ICON’s roster, Dear David‘s latest has already amassed a list of credentials that rival any release of the Stockholm-based producer’s past. Touted by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, ‘Hypnotized‘ receives a facelift from Swiss duo Fat Sushi two months after the original was released. A daunting a chugging techno cut, Fat Sushi infuse the original with an unrelenting bassline that is eventually joined by shimmering synths and swift claps. Joining previous remixes on ICONS from Lost Kings, Beckwith, The Rooftop Boys, and Made In Norway among many others, Fat Sushi’s addition to one of dance music’s burgeoning rosters has arrived in the form of a high calibre take on Dear David’s highly-acclaimed original.

Partial PR: The 47th release on microcastle welcomes Third Son to the label for his debut EP. As one of electronic music's most creative talents Joseph Thomas Price aka Third Son has carved out a unique sound all his own. The UK artist has shaped his sonic palette with a variety of influence's and compositional studies which began at a young age. The underground has fallen in love with Joseph's contemporary vision, which resonates through his tough beats, rugged grooves, modern melodies and heavy percussion. It's a sound that's led him to releases on Einmusika, Noir, Sincopat, Selador, Stil Vor Talent and Suara. Now making his long awaited microcastle debut Third Son presents his much anticipated 'Climb to the Sun' EP alongside remixes from Darlyn Vlys.

The EP’s companion piece 'The Girl Reprise' finds Third Son crafting a deeper yet equally emotive creation. A mellow, moodily enticing intro builds steadily into a restrained, yet growling atmospheric beast, before dropping poignantly into the calm eye of a perfect storm. Beyond the break, swirling melodies and ethereal vocals circle with increasing vigour as the track builds towards one final sonic rush. Third Son's insights regarding the track: "The Girl Reprise is the second track of a two part series, based on the theme by Claude Debussy - The Girl with the Flaxen Hair. The first involves more direct references with repetition of the leitmotif from the original. The second is a more refined version of the first, which as it is, I may never release."

Vomvo is back with a cinematic story by the Danish artist Pete Oak. He is definitely one of the men to follow this year. Pete presents an amazing selection of pure electronic sounds giving his personal touch and offering his own soundtrack. Vomvo is a conceptual album created by Sincopat that gives a different artist every year the chance to orchestrate a personal vision of his sound. Darlyn Vlys was the first one to develop this concept and AFFKT continued last year with another stunning collection. In 2007, we have Pete Oak as the leader, so let's enjoy the journey: "For this VOMVO I wanted to create a dark, melancholic and emotional mood. I’m a big fan of the dark aspect of house music. For me it brings out a lot of emotions and joy - it pulls me into a small universe with no worries, no hate, no pain and no Donald Trumps - only love”. “All the music is handpicked from producers that I have worked with in one-way or another. Big and small artists - all of whom got something unique to bring to the table. I’m really thrilled and proud with the result. A big and special thanks to SINCOPAT for this opportunity – it is a great honour!". Vomvo 03 is a timeless album work and selection handcrafted with care and love by Pete Oak for Sincopat. The work is made by emerging musician Strinner and a fabulous remix by Nick Devon.
Breaking Point is not only the name of the EP but also the moment on the dance floor when a dj plays one of the originals.
The track 'Breaking Point' is perfectly orchestrated and shows the musicians talent in sound design. Every element is nicely embedded and with great focus on detail.
The second original 'You Forget‘ is a driving piece perfect for peak-time club sets.
The Base line and lead sound are perfectly aligned and create a nice peak.

Parquet Mixtape 35 by Oliver Winters

Oliver Winters is based in the UK and had his debut release with us end of February. After releases on Suara and Maustrap he brought us three melodic peak time tracks each on its way bombs for the dance floor. "Obscurity" impresses us with a moogy bass melody and a catchy arpeggio. The second "Chiron" is an energetic, trippy melodic techno track. And the third "Zenith" has a powerful bass which has an high recognition value and is a strong dance floor filler. His mixtape for our series is a great complementation to his release and packed with great melodic tracks. Thanks to Oliver for the awesome mixtape.
