For our next physical release, FERMA welcomes back home one of the individuals running the project, Romphea. 

As a co-founder, he has long shaped the label’s uncompromising DIY ethos—placing experimentation, raw energy, and community at the heart 
of its vision. After releasing in a series of acclaimed platforms, the forward-thinking DJ and producer from Vyronas, Athens returns to vinyl with 
a genre-defying release. Building on the experimental pulse and reshaping the edge between electro, breaks and techno, Romphea continues that trajectory, 
weaving together tense polyrhythms, warped melodic fragments, and cavernous spaces.

This release features four, plus three digital bonus original tracks, aiming to provide a clear sound identity for the artist. The A-side opens with “Calls from Salem”, a dystopian slow burner that sets the tone with broken-beat percussion and dissonant synth stabs. “Steel Chair” surges forward with unrelenting force, propelled by serrated arpeggios and a barrage of fragmented vocals that rise and fall within the space, crafted for peak-time eruption.

Flipping to the B-side, “Paid Dividends” reaches full intensity, layering hammering kicks and percussion, while the low end rumbles with tectonic weight, amplifying the energy to fever pitch. Closing the record on a more contemplative note, “We Are The Universe” slows the pace, easing the tension and drifting into deeper territory. Echoing chords drift into space, layered with fragile percussive details and low, throbbing pulses. It’s a meditation on collapse and renewal, offering a moment of breath after the storm.

Extending beyond the physical record, this release comes with three extra digital exclusives. "Moonlighting" is another dancefloor stomper, 
capturing the tension and guiding dancers into a space where time dissolves, while in "Keygen Music", the rhythm remains grounded, but it is softened by melodic fragments that swirl in and out like fleeting memories. The release closes with "The 286 Theory" as a fierce statement: a four-to-the-floor cut, with layers of percussion that drive the groove forward, bringing the record full circle.

For me, my music is a way of turning the darker sides of life into something more positive — transforming them into energetic sounds you can dance to. It’s a way to express and process emotions.

For that reason, in this mix I used a lot of my own productions — some already released and some still unreleased.

This way, I want you to get to know the real sound of B1980 and what it stands for: a combination of low-pitched drums, dark staccato basses, and organic drone sounds.

Influenced by Belgian ‘new beat’ and EBM bands like Front242, Nitzer Ebb, DAF… my mission is to continue the Belgian sound, but in my own unique way.

I combined my tracks with selected music from some of my favorite artists who share the same taste and sound aesthetics.

Five years deep. A lot has shifted around us, but our drive to carve out space in the scene has stayed solid. When we kicked off FERMA, none of us imagined it would grow the way it did.

But here we are - 22 releases in, 5 of them physical, 10+ label nights, and collaborations with 40+ artists who share the same ethics, grit and aesthetics. It's been a roller-coaster of emotions and somehow it feels like the best parts are still ahead of us.

To mark our 5 years, we’re dropping a special anniversary compilation: 21 tracks from friends, allies, and artists who’ve been part of the journey. Expect a diverse, genre-blending release with tracks to cover various dancefloor occasions.

Celebrations peak on Saturday 27 December, where we take over our beloved Astron, together with two of our most respected artists: STENNY & NVST. A proper ceremony for the heads who’ve been with us – don’t sleep on this one.

As we shape the next chapter of FERMA, we want to salute everyone who has supported us, pushed us, challenged us, or simply believed in what we’re trying to build. You know who you are.

From Montevideo, Uruguay, we present ‘Ofrendas Químicas y Sueños Lúcidos’ (Chemical Offerings and Lucid Dreams), the debut EP by Silenus, the alias of producer Inti Piccioli. Blending elements of EBM, Electro, Synthwave, Techno and subtle poetry, Silenus crafts a sound that is both raw and evocative.
This four-tracker captures a distinctive fusion of genres shaped by his personal vision and aesthetics. A sonic language forged in the abandoned basements and underground corners of Montevideo in recent years. It stands as an introduction to Silenus’ world: hypnotic, crude, and charged with dreamlike intensity.
