This song reminds me of Victoria Louise von Prusse (Kaiser's daughter) the most.. Those are my theories tho, don't take the seriously!! ><       "There is no medal at the end" - same for the dynasty, it lost its glory in 1918. "There is no end" - the dynasty still continues (or something?). And other lines are eerily similar... "One step after the other" - kids in Hohenzollern dynasty (including Kaiser's children) had pretty obvious road of life - being born, raised in noble families, getting education in elite schools, serving in military, and if lucky - being emperor/duke/any other high position in Germany. "You can come too" and following lines - sounds like history's flow, as if you can make difference through countless years/centuries. The melody itself, spooky and hypnotizing, made me recall the feelings of dread, despair and loss of control whether world events go wrong (your average century, really)
