❄️ Y’all have heard of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” but get ready for “The Winter I Turned Selfish” ❄️

Life has been CRAAAZY, to say the absolute least 🥹 and I wanted to start a lil mix series that highlights the seasons of my life. Each genre will differ depending on my mood at the time.

As a long-time people pleaser (and now recovering), I always thought being selfish was purely negative. This then led me to ignore my own needs and fall into patterns that burnt me out mentally + physically in the long run.

This season was a huge wake-up call for me. I learned to better trust my gut toward anything that doesn’t make me feel good and to surround myself with people/things that feel like warmth. 

I’m angry, grieving, and overall wishing I knew better to begin with. But hey, water is needed for growth, and ready to get TF out of whatever this is to prep for the blooming that awaits in the upcoming Spring. 

For anyone else who can relate, this one’s for you <3

Tapping into episode 90 of LGCY FM! With the 90th installment to our guest mix series we have one of our new LGCY Core members and Academy of DJs graduate - @dj-gieezy! Her guest mix blends together sounds of house and ukg. 

"Born & raised in Los Angeles, CA, GIEEZY aka Angie grew up around performing arts & music and started as a hip-hop/dubstep/trap DJ in November 2019 with Academy of DJs. Through the years, she has diversified her sound and enjoys playing anything that can get the crowd energized - from bass house, baile funk, bounce edits, future bass, and more. She continues to grow her love for all sorts of genres & sub-genres, while allowing herself to freely express her creativity.

Had the absolute honor of winning the open aux slot for the Brownies & Lemonade Lounge show at 1720 Warehouse in Los Angeles on April 17, 2024. Threw down a festival trap, house and techno set to kick the night off and to pay homage to a few B&L All Stars I've loved over the past few years.

Honored to have shared the stage with legends like Player Dave, Kasbo, Jai Wolf, Whethan, Flux Pavilion and Nitepunk. This set is my love letter to EDM and dedicated to my community who have helped me get this far <3
