Part TWO of our collaboration project :,) 

I looked at the FIRST day that part ONE was created, it was January 20, 2022. We didn't release Part ONE until December of 2022 because after we made it we made part TWO right after on the same session we just wrapped up part one. We had such a momentum of creativity and energy to share with these genres and edits, we had to. 

It has been so freakin' fun making these wtih Alex/HOTL!NE and really making something different not knowing how people will like it or react since it's not the mainstream. 

WE EVEN PLAYED A SET ON JANUARY 6 THAT WAS THE ENERGY OF PART ONE & TWO TOGETHER, LIVE. LIKE WHAT IS LIFE !! THE CROWD LOVED IT AND it was the most fun i had on stage ever, we felt like idols it was crazy haha.

The day we started part 2 was Sept 28, 2022. Finally releasing it today, March 8, 2023. Thank yall for giving us YOUR time and open ears to listen to this!! TRULY MEANS SO MUCH <3

“Born & raised in Seattle! Being of asian descent, creativity was frowned upon so the struggle of finding the right creative outlet for me was real. I have always had a love for music & could never figure out how to showcase that love to the world. Once I started clubbing back in 2019, I realized exactly how I could showcase my love for music & share it with others. I started djing in 2022 to put my creativity to the test in hopes that it would be heard & seen. Fun fact: my DJ name originates from one of my favorite K-Pop groups, “2NE1”.

“My mix consists of UK Garage, K-Pop, R&B, & Hip Hop. I usually play R&B & Hip Hop so I decided to add a little more of my personal favorites to this mix like K-Pop & newly found favorite, UK Garage. I really wanted to curate a mix thats bouncy yet chill.”

Another week, another heater of a mix! This Wednesday's episode comes from BRYGHTSIDE from the OC and Pastel Collective family with a Melodic Bass, Trap and Drum & Bass Mix!

"I am from Orange County, California and have been DJing for about 5 years, but have been a huge fan of dance music for a majority of my life. I like incorporating a lot of different genres and styles of music into the mixes/live sets that I make. I joined Pastel Music Group in 2019 and had my first show with them that same year. Lately I have been learning music production and I use that software to create edits and remixes that I like to include in my mixes or to play out in front of crowds.

This mix was my attempt to showcase some of my favorite artists and genres that have inspired me in one way or another. I included tracks that felt nostalgic to me and some newer tracks that I've been listening to nonstop. I think that there is something in here for everyone and I hope that it's as much fun to listen to as it was for me to make it!"

To close out the month! Episode 84 of LGCY FM comes to us from @soffswerve from LA and the Academy of DJs family. Blending together the sounds of bass, trap and house - we couldn't ask for a better way to close out February. 

"I’m soffswerve- a silly daydreamer with many flavors of hair colors and hobbies, the latest being DJing. I love anything that gives me a chance to be creative! Born and raised in the Bay but now playing in LA, I’m a California girl who has been in the rave scene for a decade. I never thought I would be able to be a DJ like my favorite artists (Kaskade, What So Not, Keys N Krates, RL Grime, and the like), but Academy of DJs in Orange County made it possible! I’m now an open format DJ but I enjoy playing house, bass, edits, and Bay Area slaps the most. I can’t wait to see where my DJ journey goes takes me.

This mix will take you through the soffswerve essentials journey. It showcases some of my favorite sounds and gives you a taste of the soffswerve vibes.
