LHD are back with another single, almost exactly one year since their previous release. The past year for LHD has been spent quietly honing their production skills and working on new music, and are excited to finally share their nostalgia-inducing anthem “Growing Up”.

A beautiful melodic track drawing heavily upon masterfully produced synths, “Growing Up” is not just easy on the ears. The song also displays lyrical depth and maturity, and builds steadily through well structured verses and choruses, and peaks with an inspirational, bursting-forth bridge.
Throughout the song, the band are selective with harmonies and timing, and carefully placed riffs.

“Growing Up” raises the figurative middle finger to those people in your life that always seem to have an opinion about what you are or aren’t doing, and love to criticise others. Although this is the case, the song is ultimately motivational, and listeners will find it brings a message of hope and a confidence in staying true to yourself, despite what others think.


"Growing up" is about trying to find yourself in a world where people, especially ones who don’t really care that much about you, have strong overpowering opinions about who you are and what you should be doing. 

It’s about when those opinions start to cloud your own judgment and ambitions for your life.

Self produced act LHD, release their track ‘Gold’. Following on from two already released singles, ‘Gold’ stylistically aligns with the duos vision for the band. Born in an Air bnb in the Gold Coast hinterland, ‘Gold’ draws stylistic features from disco, pop and dance genres. The track is about finding the value in a new relationship, and moving from that initial period of uncertainty.

LHD are a disco styled synth pop duo made up of Liam O’Hara and Hayden Smith. Based in Brisbane, AUS, these boys have spent countless hours together, initially as great mates obsessed with live music and now channeling their passion for art and creativity into their love of writing, producing, and performing. With diverse influences ranging from Bon Iver to The 1975, LHD are already proving their own unique sound with the release of their first two singles. 

The boys have been working relentlessly on new music and have plans to release their electrifying new single “GOLD” by the end of 2019, with an EP also planned for mid 2020.
