Hallo!
This arrangement is a tribute to one of my favorite composers and musicians, BILL EVANS. The tune, LETTER TO EVAN, is the ”letter” that he wrote in September 1979 to his 4-year-old son EVAN. At this time, Bill Evans made extended concert tours all over the world, plus a lot of recording. Maybe he felt that he neglected his son, or maybe he just missed him immensely. 
Bill Evans died one year later from poor health and from a drug addiction.
This arrangement, in remembrance of all the lonely and afraid little children in the world, is written in Sibelius 7 for woodwinds, brass, vibraphone, voice pad and rhythm. Arranger´s chorus included.

I`ll strongly recommend Peter Pettinger´s book ”How my heart sings”, a wonderful book about Bill Evans, his life and his works.
