Hard Times (Tyler Childers cover)

A couple of riffs I mashed together to create a mix test, a combination of riffs from existing Omicron songs and those that didn't make it into Omicron. I will be trying out different mixing techniques, which I'm still admittedly a noob at. 

Riff Test 3 (Mix Test)

I've been working on this for some time and it's not perfect yet, basically my take of the solo in The Shattered Fortress. There's a wah used in the original version, but I don't have a wah with me at the moment so the single notes sound weird lol. Also a test of the amp tones in BIAS FX, this is the Triple Rectifier (USA Metal) amp model.

The Shattered Fortress Solo

Chopin's Etude Op.10 No.1 in C Major has long been my favorite of his etudes because of its flowing chord progression. Godowsky has written two arrangements of Chopin's Etude Op.10 No.1, this is the second version transposed to Db major and designed for the left hand only. I have arranged it to be played with both hands because: 

1. I fell in love with this version as I soon as I heard it due to its lyrical/royal nature and how different it is to the original so I had to learn it!
2. I do not possess the requisite left hand technique to pull this off 
3. I value my sanity, see above

This recording was done in one take on a weighted 88 key digital piano straight into a DAW, once I get the chance to record on an acoustic piano I will do so.

Godowsky Op.10 No.1 2nd version in Db Major

Partial rhythm guitar cover of Dream Theater's Behind the Veil, mainly testing out the Mesa Triple Rectifier amp sim on my BIAS FX software. The riff at 0:50 is an incredibly catchy riff, such that I had to record a version myself!
