Coyote Club is the first EP from Mattia Bison (@mattiabison) on Aevasyon’s DWRTW Records (@dwrtwrecords) imprint.

Mattia’s musical output is mostly defined by his versatility as a music producer and DJ, embossed groovy sound packed with emotions.

Another Story is a track filled with delayed vocals and a dense atmosphere with a shot of high-energy drums.

Blueberry Nights delivers a few moments of hazy introspection, perfectly shaped for multiple summer nights’ sonic destinations. Too Rays has pounding beats and a rolling bassline, such a dj friendly party groover.

After two stunning manifestations on ‘Muy Duro’ compilations the Austro-Turkish duo, Hanzo & Yaman, fall on Duro with their first full EP for the label and it’s loaded with a powerful remix from DFA legend The Juan Maclean.

“Die Neue Welt” the main title is a reminder that no matter how hard you try to run away, the new world has arrived. A world where biology and technology are one and the same. A world created with synthetic and organic percussion, melting and waving synthesizers, and a robotic voice. The Juan Maclean put out a stripped club remix, where every element needed to make the dancefloor explode is kept and escalated to the next level.

“Atari Maedchen” is the second blazing original and has an obsessive and twisted synth lead that brings to feel locked inside an arcade room. Last but not least is “Niemandsland” a mystical, astral melody synth carries us along with a tempestuous rolling slice of percussive hypnotica.

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, “instinct” can be defined as “the way people or animals react or behave without having to think or learn about it; a natural ability that helps you decide what to do or how to act without thinking”. Translate the word into Spanish and you have the single “El Instinto”, Umvral (FREEDL018) and Mad Slow’s forthcoming release on the lethal and hazardous Mexican label Veneno.

Featuring a powerful original and three robust remixes – provided by Animam (SXDNS083), Enjanzea2, and Globemaster (SXDNS153) –, the pack showcases the characteristic sonority of the Mexico City-based imprint: A spicy amalgamation of Techno, Minimal, and Trance, infused with shards of cosmic dust and dark matter.

Despite the high quality of the remixes, we decided to follow our instincts and opted to review/premiere the original: And it’s a masterpiece, peeps! Umvral and Mad Slow joined forces, sipped a few mezcal shots and delivered something impressive and intense. The bouncing bassline, the arpeggiated synth layers, the caliente Spanish lyrics, elements that, together, resulted in a hellish piece devoted to wreaking havoc on the dance floor.

Latido records has its origin in the famous Mordisco Club parties (Granada, South of Spain) hosted by the dj duo and producers Mordisco (Atomnation, My Favorite Robots Records, Duro, Bedrocks, etc.). Artists such as John Talabot, Curses, Sascha Funke, Zombies in Miami, Red Axes or Jennifer Cardini among others have played at these parties. The Latido label is born from the characteristic sounds and influences of Mordisco Club.
The fourth volume of Latido is a journey through diverse ingredients and influences which range from techno or EBM to New Wave and the dark side of disco.
Lucare and Poulper's opening track, built around a disco-influenced bassline, with dark synth pads and electric guitar chords, gives way to Ivan de la Rouch, offering a broken rhythm with a powerful arpeggio and an electro flavor. Fugitiv is firmly committed to the post-punk and darkwave vibes of the 80s with aggressive and dramatic synts, before Álvaro Cabana closes the EP with force and momentum, giving a perfect artifact for lovers of arpeggiated sequences and expressive atmospheric melodies.

For our release number 64, we have a very familiar name: French talent Rafael Cerato. This time with a 2-track EP with disco and indie dance reminiscences. In his own words, the first track of the pack Moroder “is a pure 80's infused Disco-ish gem, inspired by the West Coast Vibe. A powerful Indie Dance bassline and psychedelic synths are driving the whole track into an emotional breakdown.” 

To close the EP, Rafael joins forces with the Bulgarian artist Pavel Petrov. Aero “is a club peaktime track, based on a rolling guitar riff, robotic vocals and big square riffs bringing a darker atmosphere.”

Beholden is an example of how simplicity can be used to create emotion and goosebumps. The tasty Moog synth and a hit of inspiration are the ingredients for the perfect less-is-more equation in this song.
