- 2014 GSL Season 2 Ro8 concluded this morning with SoO topping Solar in a ZvZ 3-0, and True Ousting Zest in a ZvP upset 3-1.

SC2 Update June 16th, 2014

- Taeja continues his domination on the final day of Dreamhack Open: Summer, topping teammate Hero in the Finals and finishing the tournament a perfect 17-0. 

- Proleague action this morning: CJ Entus 3 MVP 0 and KT Rolster vs Prime getting set to start. 

- On tap today: 

              o GO4SC2 May Finals kicks off at 1pm Eastern on        BaseTradeTV highlighted by Koreans First and Hyun, and Foreigners Snute, Bly and Nerchio. 

             o Red Bull Battle Grounds North America kicks off at 2pm Eastern with HuK, PuCK, MajOr, Polt, Scarlett and viOLet round out the player pool in an event with an undisclosed prize pool and format.

- Classic topped Maru 4-2 this morning in the GSL Code S Semifinals. He will face the winner of SoO and TRUE in the Finals. 

- Red Bull Battlegrounds North America provided plenty of entertainment yesterday... check out the full layout of the event HERE. Action continues today at 2pm Eastern time at twitch.tv/redbullesports

- The ESL Pro Series Germany Summer 2014 Cup #1 kicks off today... The 8 seeded players include German favorites Heromarine, Hasuobs, Goody, and Showtime as well as Korean Protoss Patience.

- Red Bull Battlegrounds NA's 2nd day of action saw a flurry of action.. Alliances were broken and two more players were sent home. The final day of action starts today with the final three players; Major, Scarlett, and Polt, at 2pm Eastern time. Tune in at Twitch.tv/redbullesports

- MLG Anaheim kicks off this weekend with Starcraft 2 back on the schedule. Those participating will have to battle their way through the 256 player open bracket or two pools of pre-qualified players in hopes of capturing a spot in the championship bracket on the final day of action. At stake, $40,000 in prize money and 4,000 WCS points with the event being covered exclusively on major league gaming’s very own streaming site: MLG.TV. 

- GSL Code S Season 2 Semifinal #2 will be played out tomorrow morning; the ZvZ between True and SoO will start at 5am eastern time with the winner taking on Classic in a ZvP Final.

- SoO topped TRUE this morning in the 2nd semifinal of GSL Code S Season 2 4-1. He will play teammate Classic in his third consecutive GSL Season Final. 

- Scarlett topped Polt in three consecutive best of three series to capture the Red Bull Battlegrounds North America championship. 

- MLG Anaheim kicks off today with all coverage exclusively on MLG's very own streaming site... MLG.tv

- And Blizzard Blizzard announced yesterday that they will be partnering with Gameheart, to create a user-interface better suited for WCS viewing.
