Rough as hell rehearsal recordings of a band friends and I had made for about a month before everyone had to go separate ways for work/life/all that jazz.

There was definitely potential and it was probably the first time I'd picked up an electric guitar in several years. Loads of fun and I'd do it all again!

The other day I bought a $2 guitar strap from China (postage included - how can that even be possible?) for my "Baby Taylor" acoustic guitar (a 3/4 sized steel string acoustic guitar, that often feels like playing a toy). 

However sometimes even just a simple musical accessory can motivate you to walk around the house with an iphone recording and writing something new.

Sat in an armchair at 3am, the flashing motel-sign, peeking through the curtains. 
The TV’s turned to fuzz, the walls are buzzing, and I’m a little wired, once again.
Suddenly the phone rings, I’m slow to answer. When I do, a woman speaks, she says ‘I’m staying in room six’.
She’s got my attention, but I don’t know who this is. I hesitate, but then I ask; ‘Can I help you, Miss?’

Chorus:  

She says, ‘well, I hope so’. Then I heard her smile through the phone. 
She said ‘I’ve got an open door’… Then she disconnects the call.

Verse 2:  

Many minutes passed while I tried the math, but I’m sitting here like Schroedinger’s cat.    
So I took a splash in the motel bath, and grabbed what was left of my stash.     
Stumbled my way across the parking–lot, counting door numbers till I reached my stop.
Lights off, a door ajar, the famous room six…  I speak into the darkness: ‘Are you in there, Miss?’

A composition made for a "Music Cultures" academic task. 

This piece is aimed to create a fusion of Western music and "world music". There are elements such as 'odd' time signatures and modes, with Indian and Jamaican influences (among others); and modern influences such as polymetric "Djent" metal.

"Phrajor"

Here's a rendition of Radiohead's "Exit Music (For a Film)" I arranged. It was performed once only by a string quartet whose names I don't know, so unfortunately I can't even credit them. (It was part of an arranging assignment for my music degree at JMC Academy, (Brisbane).
This was the first and only time the quartet had seen the arrangement and they all had to sightread it on the spot. Being such a fleeting moment, I thought it was best to record it on my iPhone as I accompanied them on guitar.
