Given the current environmental crisis, crazy despotic leaders, war-mongers, global inequality, now would seem the ideal time to release a protest song, a peace song, a lets-change-the world song...so in keeping with the trend of modern pop music, I decided to release a frivolous party tune with no message whatsoever.
"Senorita Let Me Go" is not about Brexit or the environment, or someone downtrodden, battling against the forces of inequality & oppression...
"Don't you think the lyrics are a bit crap," I asked my brother? "I mean, it doesn't really have any meaning..."
He said, "No Liam, its about a drunk married man getting seduced on the dancefloor by a Spanish-speaking lady"
I wrote the song nearly ten years ago in North Wales, and I used to sing it with my band Timestealers back in Nottingham.

Liam Rickard (Worldwide Welshman) is a singer-songwriter, folk-singer, artist and occasional comedian from Betws-y-Coed, now based in Machynlleth. WWW often performs with a band. When they're not available, he performs with an imaginary band. WWW and his friends (under various guises) have been performing their multi-lingual mix of tragic-comic party anthems and folk-pop ballads across Europe and beyond since about 2007.
