"Let’s talk about Ben Beezy.

Dude is a sonic storyteller, a DJ / Producer / Crate Digger from Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula. Beezy’s records are a reflection of life chapters, communicated through his own atmospheric, peak-time style, known for his energetic DJ sets which cascade through various sounds & bpms of house, techno & disco.
This particular song.

His latest song, our latest M2D2 release ‘Got 2 Know’ it’s not techno, not disco, maybe house, maybe just dance-floor groovy. I listened to this song on repeat on the way into the Burning Man. Was very excited to play it on the playa dance-floor. My girlfriend / partner / protege / teacher / car ride companion DJ SAB CAT was also excited to play it on the playa dance-floor.

We heatedly discussed who would play it first.

DJ SAB CATS ARGUMENT: I love it cause it is “fast and skippy” and this will be my first set on the playa so I should be able to play it first.

DANGEROUS DANS ARGUMENT: Well I have been to the playa more times and it is my label and I love the sample and it’s in my BPM fav range anddd, this is not just your first set on the playa, this is your first set EVER anddd… I could not keep going, I wasn’t gonna argue, I was gonna let her have it, I’m all for the love of dance and DJ SAB CAT was going to have her first set ever AND it was on the playa, and that's pretty special.

Turns out.

Burning Man ended up being a flood.

DJ SAB CAT never got to play her set.

Got 2 Know got played and played by me tho.

People loved it.

You wouldn’t know unless you were there.

Since then,

DJ SAB CAT madly working on her debut set.

First song gonna be Got 2 Know.

Everybody gonna know it soon.

Fast n skippy w a cute sample, this is a groover for the dancefloor, let’s get it a techno mix and we be covering dance-floors wide.
