Liar in the Light

Formed back in 2011, Liar in the Light are a 5 piece folk band who have a huge passion for music. Starting out as teenagers playing many great folk covers from artists such as Fleet Foxes, Old Crow Medicine Show, Bellowhead and Mumford  & Sons as well as traditional folk tunes. As they evolved as a band they started to write their own tunes such as All We Shared, Lady Jayne, The Way of Water and Addi Jig. 

Starting out playing popular folk covers at open mics in early 2011 to performing at local festivals and writing their own songs in 2015, the latest EP 'The Voyage of the Lady Jayne' comes from a time where the band's members were about to head their separate ways. 

The journey isn't over yet though, as they remain great friends and you can catch them with annual New Year's Eve gigs showcasing their new repertoire, as well as the old favourites.
