“Fat Vint”, named after a minor character in the 1958 western “Warlock”, is, quite appropriately, a percussive gallop, its frenzied energy a perfect simulacrum of the maddening treachery of frontier law. And as if it wasn’t already intense enough, a paroxysmally eerie and unnerving FM synth line pervades the proceedings, morphing and recursively glitching with every bar. For my Optimix™, I took the western theme and ran with it, employing a lot of its sonic mainstays, albeit in heavily processed and - I suppose - rather unsettling ways. Electro again here - this time with, daresay, a hefty braindance slant to it instead.

Liar is one of Origami Sound's main men of music so it should come as no surprise that he has a lot of material stacked up for various releases this year. 
A labor of love has, on and off, been Liar's most significant endeavor for the past 2 years - an expedition into the vast expanses of his dreams, that eventually started to take on a very consistent meaning, and follow a very consistent story. "Spirewards" is that story, a 16-tracks long highly eclectic debut album which you'll be able to get your ears and hands on later on this summer.
