The title comes from a famous Irish poem from the 18th century . Cill Chais By Aodhagán Ó Rathaille ,It is a lament on the loss of land ,love and freedom , yet the last line ,this title ,gives a hope for the future ,a wish for a different outcome ,  a wonderful weapon to combat such adversity ,something that is still so important today .

This song is about resilience and determination. It's about being broken, battered, and bruised, but refusing to let those experiences define me. I've been through the flames, but I'm still burning, still standing. The song is a declaration of strength, a refusal to be defeated or silenced. It's about rising above the pain and the noise, and finding a voice that's born from fire. I'm unbroken, I'm untamed, and I'm still standing, and that's a message I want to share with all of you.

I had the very good fortune to connect with Andy H aka “Noobly” a few months ago over music that we mutually admired and we agreed to find a future opportunity to collaborate. This is the result. Noobly’s beautifully rich track, propelled by his soaring guitar work, felt like a kind of call to prayer to my ear. I tried to echo this somewhat in singing the bridge. Lyrically, just for kicks I used the Socratic Method to construct the verses (persuasion through Q&A) so that this song’s meaning becomes self-evident and hopefully more of a personal experience for each listener. This song is a raw and emotional love letter to my younger self, a message of hard-earned wisdom and vulnerable strength. I'm looking back on the struggles and mistakes I made, and I want to tell my younger self to stand strong, to not compromise who you are to fit someone else's idea of what's acceptable. The song is about embracing your true self, your worth, and your voice, and not letting the world dim your light. It's a message of empowerment, of self-love, and of rising above the expectations and judgments of others. I'm urging myself, and anyone who's listening, to be brave, to shine, and to be unapologetically who you are.

*Fun fact: Both the present-day and young Vicky in this painting are based on real photos of me!  You probably recognize the present me, but I thought you all might think it's cool to know that my 5-year-old self is also captured here as well. 👧😍
