Cuando el house se entreteje tanto con el electro,acid y techno oldschool es imposible que algo salga mal. Si bien Bruno elige tracks diversos que atraviesan distintas épocas, hay un momento en su selección que es clave para nuestra generación. 
Los dos mil funcionaron como una coctelera que quizás si el crítico cultural Frederic Jameson escuchara, juzgaría de posmoderna y pastiche. En general los productores se encargaron de agarrar los patrones rítmicos clasicones de los 80s y 90s y empezaron a inyectar elementos extraños, oscuridades, pequeñas migraciones eclécticas de un lado a otro para salir de los lugares comunes de cada género. 

En este set el pico paradigmático de ese espíritu es un track italiano que mezcla samples como el inolvidable fragmento del The breaks de Kurtis Blow entre un millón de otros mientras mantiene un patrón de batería intenso para la pista con una facilidad que sorprende. Una especie de búsqueda por enrarecer los géneros tiene mucho que ver con la forma en la que Bruno construye su método de digging ya que nuestra posición en el sur global, -con tantas complicaciones que sortear para simplemente comprar un disco- lo obliga a afinar y filtrar tanto su colección para tener opciones que funcionen en cualquier circunstancia; tan versátiles que se puedan poner en una rave en una fábrica o en casa para unos pocos amigos y mantener el interés.

80%BAUL is the solo project of Raul Paez 1995, Hospitalet de Llobregat. Instrumentally, he uses an analogue synthesizer, digital and analogue drums, electric bass, prepared sounds and vocals. Project that has evolved over 3 years, riding between postpunk, new wave, synthpop, ebm, italo, and new beat. Lyrics that try to materialize what happens and moves us inside, to understand what we feel and what we want. Going down to the depths to see the darkness and turning it upside down to see the light as a creative engine. Percussions that seek movement and dance, accompanied by rounded, dark, melancholic, luminous, sharp and fiery basses. Melodies that unify all of the above and bring light and dreams.
