Golden sand dunes stretched as far as the eye could see, each grain shimmering under the sun's gaze. The air was hot and sticky, it felt like no place for life to thrive, or even exist. In the distance something broke through the hot air, disturbing the desert's peaceful surroundings. A long procession of figures rode across the expanse on horse back, the muted pitter patter of hooves resounding in perfect unison. The figures were clad in beautiful white garments and sparkling jewels, each exuding a prodigious air of regality. They proudly watched over the land, it was their home and only they knew it's secrets.

Blue Velvet is a dark synth wave peruvian duo conformed by Noelia Cabrera and Antonio Ballester, whose unique project consists of live vocals, synths, drum samples and a theremin, creating an ethereal and sensual atmosphere with a strong character. “Funeral Dance” captures their whole essence and creates a rich, hypnotic and body-moving sound in perfect harmony with the originally recorded vocal samples. In addition, this is the star track of Bestiario Collective’s latest compilation of six neo-synth tracks and an equal number of dance remixes, which showcases the different genres of the peruvian underground electronic scene.
