Respected remixer, Hostage provides an intense and hypnotic rework of ‘Burning’. Whilst rising star DVWLX showcases his uncanny ability to create tracks that perfectly balance simplicity and intricacy with his deep, minimal, industrial take on the track.

Kono - Waves of Time Album [PD020]

Pineapple Digital presents to you another milestone, 
our 1st artist album from our in house artist Kono. 
Shining down a little piece of sunshine Kono aka Brady 
Philips from Orlando, Florida is no alien to our 
listeners.

His first release 'Wakea' featured 3 sensational 
tracks and he later remixed Adam Sobiech's track 
'Above the Sky' and 'Deep Bleu' was featured on our 
highly successful, chart topping compilation album, 
'Elemental Progressions Volume 1'

We asked Brady what his thoughts are on this album.

"I wanted to take the listener on a journey through 
different emotions with my album "Waves Of Time". 
Everything from progressive trance, authentic
progressive house to deep melodic house, what is 
distinctive about a Kono track is the emotions & 
vibes each track portrays."

This 12 track album is a statement to this artists
exceptional talents and gives him a chance to show
off the many aspects of his work to full potential.
We begin with illusive sophistication and the 
promise of natural beauty. 

Beginnings and Coastal Cascade are the perfect tribute to 
happy thoughts, bright skies and heavenly moments.

We delve a little deeper with De Ossuary and Deep Bleu,
the melodics are strong and forthcoming yet the gentle,
balmy beats and strings capture the mind and comfort
the soul. Theres a peace and harmony element throughout
this entire album that instills restful serenity.

Key to the West introduces high noted elegance and 
alluring grace with its delicate bassline. 

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to ride the Hightide?
This charming addition has just what you seek with 
fascinating plucks, distant melodies and altered strings.

Laguna Falls packs a punch with its forward progressing 
bassline and colourful piano chords bringing the mid
section of this album one step closer to pure,
unadulterated paradise. 

Lokanau again maintains this element and whisks a huge 
portion of feel good factor with its dreamy vocal sample 
and piano keys to set the mood straight to euphoric intoxication.

Makai by name means one who is like God and heavenly 
states are heard with angelic capitivation. This opus
is deep and reaches down into the soul whilst setting 
heart on fire. 

Miles of Space has a certain quirky idiosyncrasy and 
incorporates a very unique sample.
Its hard hitting bassline and full bodied chords
take us on full flight to the final landing point of 
the album.

The final 2 tracks are Poi and Skyfall, Poi is a Maori
art involving rythmic and geometric patterns, the beauty 
in this art is to extent the mind and body to enhance
strength and core stability and this track really 
embraces and embodies those elements. 

Last but not least Skyfall sends us soaring to a virtual 
state of thought and imagination beyond our wildest dreams. 
It is a composition created from the fathoms of fantasy
and its profound structural intensity completes this
Wave of Time to magnificent terminus.
