Having appeared on a number of releases as part of Lakumer, LiBL are proud to present Umarga’s first solo release. 
4 tracks equally indebted to Detroit and London alike, Umarga channels multiple styles and bpms, while still managing to come up with a group of tracks that sound characteristically Umarga. 
Influenced and inspired by tapes of late 90s Fabio & Grooverider shows, all the way through to the unexpected wonders of nature, Umarga steps out with an ambitious set of mini ear odysseys.

Label owners Ben Tilley (UMARGA) and Mike Hartley  (Lakumer) connected, while at University, over a love of vinyl and all things electronic music – Theo to Dilla, Drexciya to Actress, Madlib to 4Hero and anything in the vicinity. Terrible file management and procrastination keep things fresh (sort of). Expect music that references all of the aforementioned artists, with a DIY rough and ready approach and a commitment to delivering unique, diverse musical experiences.
