Lie Lie Sister is an indie rock band from Latvia which is ironically playing around with the famous Latvian tradition to lag behind. 20th centuries last decade is, for good or bad, as far as the band is willing and able to advance both musically and morally. The hype is to exhumate jewels from past with syle. Yet it's not the style but the substance that matters most. It is the teenage years spent in academic musicianship, the boredom of it, and the lyrical characters and themes generated by a city as grotesque and cinematic as a modern day Riga.
