Singen ist nicht nur das Ergebnis dessen, dass wir in unserem Geist erfüllt sind, sondern auch der Weg, um im Geist erfüllt zu werden. (Epheser 5:19)

Gemäß 1. Korinther 14:26 und Hebräer 10:25, sind sowohl Sprechen als auch Singen während christlicher Versammlungen notwendig. Oft ist es schwierig die Stelle in der Schrift zu finden, die das Bedürfnis der Versammlung oder unserer eigenen Situation decken kann, aber es ist einfach ein passendes Lied zu finden.

Wenn wir singen, sollten wir durch einen geübten Geist singen (1. Korinther 14:15b). Wir sollten nicht nur aus unserer Freude oder entsprechend unserer Laune singen. Wir sollten freudig in unserem Geist singen. Beim Singen, wie auch beim Beten, beim Lesen des Wortes und beim Wenden unseres Herzens zum Herrn, ist das Üben des Geistes das Geheimnis.
