though it might already be too late for another christmas song, here is my own first one, and probably the only one - I felt inspired writing the lyrics on my way home to my parent's house while I was listening to good old Sufjan Steven's beautiful tracks in the train.

Like every year in december here I am.
Filthy windows in the train, can't look outside.
The fields are still green,
and there's no snow for Christmas this year.

I don't know what the weather's like in Michigan.
But Sufjan Stevens seems a good idea to get out of hear.
Right now...

Left my baby home four years now, we don't know it any other way.
And oh there would be so much more to say.
We leave our childhood behind and all we try to find is a place,
that is similar to the one our parents created in our mind.

For I've never been to Illinois,
but if it's as beautiful as Sufjan Stevens voice,
let's go there - right now...

Decisions I made, my life it changed.
And no one ever taught me right or left,
so I left and here I am like every year in december,
getting lost behind filthy windows.

Feel it

This song's about unheard words, unseen smiles, glances and tears. It's about the feeling of expressing myself when  no one is really listening, about showing my true colors but no one is watching, about singing out loud but no one can hear it. The essence of the song is me revealing my heartstrings to someone who is not listening nor caring about it.
