Release Info: 
Motek Music's next release comes from Canada and artists Larose and Josef. Larose has been a regular Motek member from his time living in London and now having moved back home to Montreal has teamed up with Josef for this bold and punchy EP 'Light / Gate'. 'Light', the darker of the two has strong driving bass tones and an industrial feel within the synth sounds, whilst detuning vocals provide focal points and weight to the production. 'Gate' has a strong presence but with a lighter feel than 'Light'. More air in the string synths and guitar add space and a layer of atmosphere as syncopation in the snare and percussion create elements to grab on and dance too. The track is finished and given its forward pushing feel with a pulsing 16th note lead.

Remixing on this release we welcome Barber and Bonaca. Having had Barber as part of lineups on past events, we are very happy to welcome him to the label with his take on 'Light.' He has kept the track dark but added crisp and sharp beats sections intertwined with the space within the bass to give the music bounce. A rich production full of builds and intrigue with subtle fills and tricks to add to the depth and quality. Finally Bonaca has delivered a hypnotic version of 'Light'. Mysterious bell sounds move over warm low and high pads to create the foundation to which hints of the original come though. Strong driving bass lines along with the subtle rise and fall in the arrangement keep the track strong for the dance floor.

Anyone who’s encountered Christopher Kah’s sounds over the years will know all too well that he’s a multi-talented multi-instrumentalist. 
A true innovator in his field, Kah is a man who takes great pride in ensuring his music is presented in a truly unique format. 
His latest endeavour is RE: SOURCE, a concept where “every track” he explains, “is created with minimum resources”. 
This all comes to light quite brilliantly via his latest, RE: SOURCE 01. Featuring four original tracks, the release also comes backed by four individual videos which demonstrate the producer’s grand knack for live production.

Kicking off matters is the sounds of ‘Blade’. 
Like much of this EP, it’s produced using the Roland TR-8S in conjunction with another of his weapons of choice, the Elektron Digitakt. 
A grandiose and foreboding track with shades of UR at its core, this is trippy techno of the type often emitted from the genre’s godfathers straight out of Detroit.

‘Machine’ is a raw, minimal cut that’s laced with acid from the get-go. Full of muffled vocal patterns, it’s a thoroughly uncompromising spectacle that never lets its guard down for a moment. 
A hypnotic track that’s most definitely suited to peak-time pastures, it’s sure to decimate any dancefloor its let loose on. 
‘Extent’ is next up. A track that ups the ante even further, it’s characterised by its big room capabilities and dramatic overtones. 
Like much of Kah’s best work, it’s not one for the faint of heart, and has already proved a highlight of the French producer’s much-loved live sets.

Culminating the release is the sounds of ‘Warcry’. A gnarly track that’s notable for its restless sheen, it’s full of tantalising claps, snares and a heaving, chugging vibe that ensures the release signs out amongst a general feeling of euphoria. 
A truly captivating release, Kah’s latest is sure to find favour with in-the-know techno heads especially.

Dmitry Perevoznikov, known as Lie2You. Musical career began in 2011. In 2014 he creates his own label SOAP, and publishes his first releases with techno and minimal style. A year later, Dmitry receives support from many Minus artists, in particular from Richie Hawtin, who played his many tracks at parties Enter Weeks (Ibiza). In 2016, Richie visited Pete Tong`s radio show and played his track "Run Out" on the BBC Radio One, and later on at many major festivals such as ADE and Sonar. In 2016, Lie2You suspends solo activity and start working in duet with Slovenian artist Malek, the project "Overheads" has created. Currently, artists continue solo and Overheads project. Lie2you comes back to solo at 2019 and reachs top 10 finalists "Dubfire mentoring" for bridge_48 studio. In 2020 releases the tracks "Madness" and "Obsession" with a remix from Joris Voorn. A regular in Joris's sets and Spectrum Radio broadcasts, both 'Madness' and 'Obsession' have been key weapons for Voorn throughout this turbulent year. 'Madness' was a highlight in his Awakenings set while 'Obsession' will feature on Joris's forthcoming Global Underground mix album. In 2021 Signed on labels: Dubfire's  SCI+TEC and Oliver Huntemann's Senso Sounds. Dmitry gets supports from artists: Radio Slave, John Acquaviva, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, John Digweed and many more
