It is Monday the 22nd of December 2014 and we have new guests for the very first time on the CLR Podcast. The Kiev-based duo Woo York has come a long way from being Ukraine capital’s local heroes to becoming an internationally recognized live act with their own signature sound. They are not only residents of legendary Glaswegian label Soma Records and head honchos of Planet Rhythm, they have also been delivering one dance floor killer after another since the start of their career back in 2009. Known for their energetic live acts, Woo York combine experimental, dance floor oriented and avant-garde elements into a highly improvisational musical flow with a strong hardware background. The entire music in this set is performed and improvised live during one of their recent gigs and contains two tracks from their upcoming debut 5 tracker EP on Life & Death called The Valley of Songs.

Kevin de Vries is a young and upcoming producer who was born in Germany and started his career in 2012 at the age of 18. By 2015 he has already stolen the show and is named by many as one of the fastest rising stars and greatest talents ever seen the light of the techno industry. He has played already next to Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, Tommy Four Seven and other great artists. His productions on labels like his homes Complexed where he is a successful A&R, and Berlin’s Advanced which is his agency, on legendary Wall Music just to name a few, have been played and supported worldwide by the greatest players like Richie Hawtin, Marcel Dettmann, Dave Clarke, Slam, Pascal Feos, Alexander Kowalski, his partner in crime and Germany’s legend Drumcomplex and more. All those have happened by his 20 years of life. Just imagine what is coming next from this wonder-kid during his long remaining road of his career. Keep your eyes and your ears on.

During the long journey of travelling to all corners of the techno universe, a man was born out of the aim to create a feeling of weightlessness on planet earth. 

Inspired by the bright light of thousands of solar systems, he always made sure to achieve the highest level of expectations he set for himself. 

After a long journey through almost never ending black holes, which taught him the vastness of sound and the brutality of the deep cold dark, he finally freed himself with the strong intention to bring what he had gained back to his origin. 

He caught fire while entering the atmosphere. 
Promptly after hitting the hard ground, he started to create something that was brought from the void to fill us with purpose. 

The flames spread over to humanity. Suddenly sanity appeared and rained down as a burning meteorite shower. 

The traveller realized that this planet could never compensate for the rich sonority and banging impulses which were made to explode.

Hindered by the limits of planet Earth, he decided to use his energy to take the human population with him back to space to let them feel the infinity of sound. 

"Come with me, I will take you on a journey into the unknown."

Etching a musical partnership that draws from the combined roots of IDM, house and techno, 
Mind Against are the Italian native but Berlin based project of Alessandro and Federico Fognini.

The biggest cliché of a “sound that’s hard to pin down”, is realer than gravity when it comes to Mind Against. They coax on psychedelic hooks of the 1980s and dance floor anthems bound traditionally to european soil. This backdrop makes for releases and performances that do well against any canvas.
