London-based artist ABSOLUTE. debuts his single ‘Fairground’ via his own A. Player imprint. Out now.

The track was born out of sessions at London’s iconic Fortress Studios, also home to Jamie xx, Paranoid London and Bicep. It was mastered by veteran engineer Matt Colton (James Blake, Panda Bear, Caribou) and is already picking early support with tastemakers from DJ EZ to Horsemeat Disco.

With ‘Fairground’, ABSOLUTE. (always all caps, with a full stop) has crafted a bold, electrifying debut that envelops the listener in its cavernous atmospherics, with celestial synths and chopped, distant vocals heralding echoing horns and tribal percussion. It’s the sound of someone carving their own path, and marks ABSOLUTE. out as one of the UK’s most intriguing new producers. 

Elusive London DJ and producer KDA demanded to remix ‘Fairground’ on first listen, stepping up to deliver a pneumatic dub version that loses none of the original’s dark ambiance. The remix will be released in March 2016 and follows KDA’s own debut single ‘Rumble’ last year, which ultimately topped the UK singles chart with a reworked version featuring Katy B and Tinie Tempah. 

Having already appeared on line-ups alongside the likes of Claude VonStroke, Green Velvet, Derrick Carter, Julio Bashmore, Cyril Hahn, Gesaffelstein, 2 Bears, Greg Wilson, Justin Martin, Flashmob to name just a few, ABSOLUTE. is set to unveil a highly anticipated live show this Summer. Stay tuned.

Fairground

One UK’s most underrated DJ’s in Bonar Bradberry has long been a respected DJ and producer in his own right on the underground scene. After lying about his age and beginning to play sets at clubs he wasn’t legally old enough to attend it wasn’t long before he began to win residencies at some of his native Birmingham’s hottest nightspots before setting off for Leeds and becoming involved with the notorious Asylum party where he shared a booth with some of the industry’s key figures like Gilles Peterson, Jamie Jones and Ricardo Villalobos.

Since then it has been onwards and upwards for Bradberry, firstly beginning work with 2020 Vision which has now become one of the scenes most respected independent labels before in 2007 starting to produce records himself both as a solo artist and with a series of collaborations with fellow ex-Play Music record store staff such as Paul Woolford and Matt Playford.

Now with a formidable back catalogue of his own including releases on 2020 Vision, Red Music, Future Classic and Under The Shade as well as producing remixes for some of the scenes coolest and most names such as Crazy P and Bernard Fevre. Bonar has quickly become an artist hard to ignore.

This is a remix I did for Jamie Lloyd, one of Sydney's most talented musician. 
                  The track came out in January 08 on Future Classic, backed up with a Soultourist remix of "You're Out or In?". In other words, it's a Drumpoet release in disguise. The virus keeps spreading ;-)
                  Concerning my remix, I wanted something with more "ooomph" than my previous tracks...judge it for yourself, but I think this one is on a rave tip!

Berlin duo The/Das release their sophomore album, Exit Strategies, on Life And Death. The absorbing 12-tracker is the result of a period of searching that finds the new line-up of Fabian Fenk and Philipp Koller combine multiple ideas, layers, fragments and sounds and refine their distinct idea of techno tenderness. 12 months after the debut album of Piotr Bejnar was released, we achieved gathering 4 remixes from this album. Piotr turned to the artists he most admired and who stated for him as great authorities. The record starts with a beautiful remix of the song "Bagieta" made by Ada from Pampa records. Second track is a dance version of the "Jellyfish" made by Piotr Bejnar himself. The third artist on the record is Piotr's idol from many years - Frivolous. To this one Piotr stood up to since childhood as a long- term fan of Frivolous, buying his albums and tracking his path. And now as for the crowning of the record - stands an artist closely related to Otake records – Kalipo with a total dance floor banger remix of “Jellyfish”

From tomorrow you will find records in most Polish vinyl stores. From next week we launch foreign distribution. Vinyls will be available on decks, juno, etc.

Piotr Bejnar - Pachniesz Owocami (Frivolous Remix)

Jazzy Tourism is the first work that establish Apparel Music in the electronic music market. Apparel seeks to combine differents hemispheres, trying to impress on vinyl every mood and emotion. Every song is built for narrow audience, mental, impatient, just like jazz, get something of magical on the dance floor. The original mixes offers a simple way to structure and pushing the batteries, deep bass, funny reasons to open the way for jazzy. Kisk is a good media between sound and audience; working properly jazz samples , as if this was made for his own style. Lopazz & Zarook’s remixes are placed on a road whose direction is the catharsis.
