With Summer coming to a close, it feels appropriate to slip in one of the more idiosyncratic mixes of the series to help jog the senses before a new season hits. Sharlese Metcalf (https://soundcloud.com/sharlese ), a local guiding light, has put in the time and energy to form LCM017 - a mix of irregular sounds, textures, styles, and signatures typically not the most welcoming to a DJ. The result is a mix of hard left turns, sultry, bitter vocals, and a lot of fun - stylishly implemented in a way that only a well-heeled doyen could. 

Sharlese began a career in music and the arts in 2001, with a handful of community and local radio shows. Fast-forward to the present, her CV boasts a position at KEXP (https://soundcloud.com/kexp), the cofounding of False Prophet and TECHNODAD (https://soundcloud.com/technodadtapes), and involvement with local powerhouse - TUF (https://soundcloud.com/tufseattle). Sharlese is a host of KEXP’s Audioasis every Saturday from 6-9PM, as well as a rotating host for Expansions - every Sunday from 9PM to midnight.
