META MOTO podcast is derived from outward and inward influences, combined circumstances of temporal things and forms. From existence to succession generating things according to the natural order.

Stockholm-based @kinderausasbest has sporadically appeared on small edition DIY releases, cassettes and vinyl on labels such as Exil-System, Dödsdans, Lux Rec and Electronic Emergencies. Strongly influenced by lesser-known synth bands from the 80s he produces a minimal and cold synthpop that sometimes takes a darker turn towards EBM and minimalistic experimental electronics.

After United Identities' successful first vinyl release "Modern Intimacy Volume 1" in 2020, founder, DJ, producer and music curator Carista decided it was time for round two. Named after her debut mixtape, we are proud to present "Modern Intimacy Volume 2". This album is a blend between contemporary and futuristic sounds by 10 rising Dutch artists curated by the label head herself. The intention of the compilation is to nurture and showcase contemporary Dutch homegrown artists and the range of their craft; Breaking the boundaries of sound and genre as we know it, with a refusal to be categorized or caged in.

The album starts with the hopeful and soothing track "Whistle, accompanied by a saxophone and flute that gently guides you through the story of Brintex Collective. Then we are moving onwards to genre defying artist Phantom Wizard, who takes you from experimental synth jazz to an electronic dance riddim named "Awa". These two tracks serve as the perfect introduction and sets the tone of the label's versatile compilation. Followed by Thrills in +41 eerie, steady soundscaping drum patterns in "Strangelove64'', groovy bass heavy breaks that invite you to move your whole body to EYCEE's "Crunk", or to be enticed to a dark forest full of raving dancers with the dark but dreamy techno banger "Body On The Floor" by DutchAfro featuring vocals by Luka Eyrie. 

On the second half of the LP we are transported to an utopian dream reality in "On" by Sansouni with ethereal voices and sounds; Percussion and sample heavy "38A" by Conrad Soundsystem; The glitchy and dark "Personal Reality" by Mayo and shortly after we are taken on a journey through time and space by futuristic artist audt98 in "6 Identical Atoms". The compilation concludes with Acidic Male's "Zero Authority", shifting between cutting snares, alluring synths and poetic vocals.

Platform, music label and event series United Identities aims to nurture and hold space for local artists. As an extension of that care, Carista found it important to physically realize the efforts and legacy of the artists, by pressing their music on vinyl. Modern Intimacy Volume 2 showcases the harmonious, yet versatile musical approach of the label, as well as the artists that embody it. Keep an eye out on all of these artists, as they are destined for greatness.

This week in the series we welcome GAËL. He is a producer and DJ from Bogotá. He founded the Antimateria events series and co-heads the Pildoras Tapes label. The impressive label roster includes artists like Filmmaker, Neud Photo, Chris Mitchell, Red Deviil and many others. His sound is strongly influenced by electro, industrial, new beat and post-punk, adding his own take on this combination of genres. As a producer, he has released on labels like Home Mort, Body Musick, Soil Records, Drøne, Clandestine Records, Dystatik, as well as his own. Lock in for a finely selected hour plus mix from the Colombia native.

"bijū arose from the need to explore the intersection of machine and body. The need to blur the boundaries between dehumanized electronic sound and the natural environment. Its selection is a constant search between minimalist and dense, dynamic and slow, sharp and blurry sounds.

The album presents strength of vision in artist's style and that is aesthetics of dystopian future, where slow motion martial marches meet ghostly rituals, cleverly blended with synth melancholy enriched by echoes of psychedelia and industrial rawness. An attempt to reach the undefined emotions between commotion and anger, sublimity and thrill, which, along with grief and hatred were brought by the war in his homeland in Ukraine.

As part of the Warsaw based Ukrainian collective SUMISH wants to strengthen interactions between people through synergies, exchange of vision and knowledge, building bridges between the migrant community and local society through the different creative disciplines. Author of the program Gnostic Methods, dedicated to slow-rolling and experimental electronic music - every month on Radio Kapitał."
