The incredible Motiv marks his freshman Innerground appearance with ‘Industrial Funk EP’. Hailing from Manchester, the diverse producer is hot off the heels of his debut LP ‘Meraki Music’ on Co-Lab Recordings last month.

The second track of the EP ‘Slipped’ continues the voyage, floating through otherworldly synths and echoing vocals peppered with funky guitar strums. Incredible energy!

Reflections started out with some piano chords and a beautiful vocal from Hannah Eve. It ended up with a rolling drum groove, a potent tech bassline, some live cello from Grant Leslie, and Tom Retraflex sprawled out on my sofa after a huge celebratory meal when we finished the arrangement. I really enjoyed creating this track!

Villem aka Andrew Wilson heads up the highly anticipated flip side with ‘Do You Wanna, I Wanna’. Also a key member to Utopia Music, Villem has DJ support from the likes of LTJ Bukem, Doc Scott, Bailey, Martyn and many more. He’s a man of many talents and is also one half of production duo Mute, who are often seen collaborating with rapidly rising Bristol producer Mako. This fantastic AA side completely captures the Symmetry vibe with a quintessentially liquid piano and vocal combination moving into some untouchable percussion. With growing DJ support across the board, Villem is definitely a name to look out for this year.

Back with another international collaboration, Ben Soundscape, Roygreen & Protone bring us two tracks of lush drum and bass depth.

Preferring to work together in person, this release was crafted as part of their frequent music making pilgrimage between Bristol and Vienna. These studio sessions are always fruitful and DIS146 is a testament to the creative energy that flows during these regular trips.

Joined by Ill Truth whilst in Bristol, the resulting track 'Kai' is packed with deep sub bass and lush liquid atmosphere. 'Adversity' completes this release in fine style, with dreamy choral refrain and a vocal sample reflecting on the nature of adversity.

With rolling drums and beautiful liquid drum and bass sentiment throughout, we’re proud to welcome these guys back to Dispatch.
