Returning to Dispatch for his sophomore album and marking 2 years of solo productions since leaving Jam Thieves, Dunk continues to push his unique sound with ‘The Art of Minimal’ LP.

With each release Dunk has continued to refine and enhance his output. For this second album project, he has been able to maximise the impact of his new minimal sound, still packed with that unmistakable Brazilian flavour. Striving to maintain his own individual style, ‘The Art of Minimal’ represents his personal vision for drum and bass.

Building on the strong foundations of his debut LP, ‘The Music is my Life’, Dunk once again presents an album that incorporates his personality and life journey into the music, setting out to create a representation of himself and his experiences.

Deep, dirty and infectious, these tracks are that 100% Dunk sound – condensed and refined, as he pushes the boundaries of minimal funk.

We like to keep things fresh at Lifestyle, which is why we give a debut label release to a producer whose stock is rapidly on the rise, Melinki. 

This guy has been on our radar for a while now, and after a string of excellent releases this year, that has seen him propelled up the ladder, we knew we had to make something happen. 

He came back with with two big cuts of straight-up dancefloor madness, featuring a collaboration with Vigorous, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have him representing on Lifestyle with a very big and bold single. A-side Nebulous goes straight for the jugular; a bouncy kick/snare funk bolstered by angry distorted bass rips and stabs form the track. The flipside Learn To Fly is the deeper of the two tracks, a weighty, futuristic stepper, with striking drums & percussion, and atmosphere by the bucketload, no frills here; just extremely danceable drum and bass.

 In recent years Lifestyle and its team has grown profoundly. The ‘Connection’ series has given the label and artists the opportunity to foster relationships with Drum & Bass communities from around the world. This has lead to international tours and shows that range from Australia to mainland Europe. Without losing focus the label frequently maintains UK club nights and a residency on its home turf of Volks in Brighton. 

Lifestyle is constantly pushing for the cutting-edge. Breaking new upcoming producers, sounds, and styles. ‘CULTURE’ is the latest series and addition that predominantly focuses on the melodic and experimental sounds.
