Space Patrol Theme

Winning "Best Musical Score" at the Edinburgh 48 Hour Film Project.

The film is set in a post-apocalyptic world and the score had to reflect this. The "rough and ready" approach of using a guitar as a loosely timed click track is jarring with the ear, emphasising the lack of structure in the worlds current state.

The two main characters have separate themes, but rather than differing by purely by melody, they differ by instrumentation. The guitar represents the protagonist, Zack and the piano is introduced as he meets the other character, Connie. Their themes are then fused together for the outro credits.

An introductory demo for a shelved project named Rust.

Rust Intro

Scottish-born composer Christopher Muir, best known for his blend of orchestral and electronic music, scored numerous short films during his time studying architecture at the Glasgow School of Art. In 2011 he set up the production company "LifeUp! Productions" which has worked with the likes of 343 Industries, Microsoft and Epic Game.

Christopher works from Glasgow, scoring in the film and video games industries.
