SAITO (QUEST / WEEKENDER)
Born in 1986, based in Yamagata. DJ.
He is the organizer of "WEEKENDER", a long-running party held at SANDINISTA, a venue Yamagata takes pride in. WEEKENDER invites artists from all over Japan, fostering connections and growing into a beloved local party that continues to attract party freaks from far and wide.
In 2019, he joined "QUEST"—one of Tohoku’s leading DIY open-air parties organized by AJIKI—as a co-organizer. Since then, he has expanded his activities and dedicated himself to the development and nurturing of the Tohoku scene.
His DJ sets range from dance-oriented House to Techno, to ambient and listening sets that weave in Jazz, Downtempo, and more. Known for his ability to read the room and capture the atmosphere, his thoughtful selections are widely respected. His skillful use of vinyl and sharp mixing sensibility have created countless memorable moments on dance floors across Tohoku and the Kanto region.
In terms of releases:
In 2020, he produced a mix for SANDINISTA’s crowdfunding project.
In 2021, he handled the mix for a collaborative project between DJ KENSEI and Dustin, a clothing brand based in Yamagata.

2019年に同県のAJIKIが主催している東北屈指のDIYオープンエアーパーティー'QUEST'に共同主催者として加入し、行動範囲を広げて東北のシーンの発展と育成に励んでいる。

様々な音をその場の意図を汲み、空気を捉えた選曲には定評がある
Vinylを駆使してのMixセンスは数々のフロアに名場面をもたらし東北各地や関東の幅広い現場をこなしている。

作品では2020年・SANDINISTAのクラウドファンディング企画のMIX制作。
2021年・DJ KENSEIと山形発のクロージングブランドDustinのコラボレート企画のMIX制作を担当している。
