Ant Miles’ Liftin Spirit label is 25 this year and in celebration is being reloaded and rebooted!

The time has come to delve into the archives and remaster some classics along with some unreleased tracks as we celebrate the 25 years!
 
A year earlier to its inception in 1993, the Hardcore imprint 'Deep Seven' label released a series of material mostly from the developing HQ of Andy C and Ant Miles's RAM Records and by chance the original DATs have been found and now remastered for a series of limited special edition vinyl runs.
 
This first mix from ‘Joint Venture’ contains all of the Deep Seven tracks that were found and includes a track that was the missing DEEP 009 that never made it out into the world until now!!

Deep Seven Series - Mixed By Joint Venture

The Hardcore imprint 'Deep Seven' released a series of material mostly from the developing HQ of Andy C and Ant Miles's RAM Records. By chance, the original DATs have been found and now remastered for a run of special edition vinyl.

The very first release in this 'Deep Seven' series is What Kind Of World / Easy Does It. Produced by 'Double Vision' in 1993, these Hardcore bullets get a fresh re-master and re-issue straight from the original DAT.

The year is 1994 and the awesome combination of Flatliner & Ant Miles gave life to the infamous tracks ‘The Big Bang’ / ‘No Boundaries’. Release number 9 on RAM records tore up sound systems at every Rave in the country. A follow up was on the cards and ‘Flatline’ was born. Put to one side to make way for the Big Bang/No Boundaries remixes, somehow it never resurfaced again... until now!

A similar story evolved for Just Stop. A track made in the latter part of 1995, Flatliner comes with yet another amen monster, but this time taking things on more of a rolling Drum & Bass vibe. A golden nugget to own on vinyl for any true Jungle/Drum & Bass fan.

Our second release in the Deep Seven series comes from ‘Ironik’. An alias from Ant Miles in 1993 that produced two Hardcore tracks in the form of Believe In & 4 AM. Rare, near mint originals have sold for and are still available at £75! We offer you a fresh, re-mastered version from the original DAT that is pressed on 180g vinyl at a fraction of the cost.

What can we say about Desired State? Their alter ego to Origin Unknown and an absolute force in the 90’s. Andy C & Ant Miles’s Hardcore roots grew into the emerging Jungle/Drum & Bass scene with huge success. Deep in the original RAM HQ archives was a DAT tape containing two tracks from 1992. Never before heard, let alone released, laid these breakbeat gems from the golden era of Hardcore. 27 years later they get a full master and release on Liftin Spirit Records that are sure to please collectors of Oldskool Hardcore and early Jungle alike.

Back In 1994, Ant Miles collaborated with DJ Rhythm from the Essex based underground station Cyndicut FM. They came up with the amen smasher ‘Cold Fresh Air’ which remains one of the biggest releases of that year. With the remix being signed to Moving Shadow their Higher Sense monicker had several further releases with MS. Natural High and Cascade were created the following year but the master DAT was lost and finally unearthed in 2019 for our 3rd, previously unreleased 12".

Ironik is back for our 3rd Deep Seven Series re-issue (originally Deep 2R). Ant Miles's 1993 alias on Deep Seven brings you another 2 Hardcore destroyers. 'The Calling' & 'Believe In' Remix make up yet another sought after 12" that has been re-mastered from the original DAT and pressed onto our 180g heavyweight vinyl.

Liftin Spirit Records was founded in 1994 by Ant Miles. The label put out a steady flow of Drum & Bass & Jungle throughout the 90's and beyond. Home to a long list of artits such as Higher Sense, Stakka & K-Tee, Moving Fusion, Andy C, Red One, Concept 2, Joint Venture and many others. 

Liftin Spirit Reloaded launched in 2019 for the labels 25th Anniversary. Featuring exclusive unreleased material from the early 90's and reissues of some of the labels earliest in demand music.
