About this EP : 
Heimya is a French electro-acoustic trio blending Arabo-Andalusian, Berber, Native American, and Western sounds into a rich, mystical journey between ancient roots and modernity.
Across its four songs, mystical instruments come to play such as flamenco guitars, ancient flutes and deep voices, blending with tribal beats and percussions that sound that might come from another time. All these somehow magical instruments, bearers of ancestral traditions, also very deep and hypnotic, weave a connection between distant influences and contemporary production, creating a soundscape that is both introspective and dance-inducing.
To add up to this sonic alchemy we have a selected group of Franco-Chilean remixers featuring Mula, Karmaâ, Derrok and El Extravagante which add even more eclecticism, groove and inspiration to a release that's has folktronica, downtempo, organic house and even a touch of afro house grooves that's for sure going to be one of this summer's most talked releases.

A new mix of songs i have been playing in recent DJ sets at Bazique Festival in SA and at Villa Akasha in Ubud, culminating in a profound experience at Skyland in South Africa, at which i saw clearly how critical resonant sounds are for bringing humans into a state of connection.

I've named this mix after David Abram's seminal book, one of the first pieces of writing that inspired me to dedicate my time to wild nature and start tuning my animal body to the Earth plane and recognise its kinship to everything else in the universe.

Deepest thanks to the creators of these songs. I hope you enjoy the way i weave together your music.
