Back in 2013, I embarked on one of my first forays into conducting one-to-one interviews!  Armed with an iPhone as my recording device, and coming up against wind and bird, I met up with Singer-Songrwiter, Artist and Educator, Eska Mtungwazi, at the Albany theatre in Deptford.

I caught up with Radio presenter and Singer Loretta Andrews.  In my second LBPD interview, this time armed with a little bit more than my iPhone!  Here I ask Loretta how she became a radio presenter, the challenges of careering and also having a child.

LBPD exists to motivate, and inspire young people and young adults by sharing the learning journeys and career decisions of professionals from the creative industry, especially those who come from Minority ethnic backgrounds.

Why LBPD, and why focus on these areas?

1. There are many 'young' people, particularly those with a passion for the creative arts & media (CAM), who have limited access (if any at all) to information about career pathways in this industry.  Further, those from disadvantaged backgrounds are more likely to need career-role models who can motivate and inspire them. 

2. You only have to listen to the radio, or watch the TV to see that young people from minority ethnic backgrounds have limited access to CAM professionals who look like them.
