Named after Edward Abbey's character Henry H. Lightcap. The guy appears, swears, shoots his fridge (why not?), jumps into his truck, heads towards the forests of his past, praises the warming morning sun, the eternal beauty of the endless desert, always on the verge of madness.

"Be True To Your Heart" is their first full length album. Eric Kroeber's songs ponder the various heart- and headaches that occur in a post-modern young man's life on the search for broad and vague concepts like love and truth. 

Lightcap are playing melancholic folk songs full of graveness with an ironic view onto the glorified existence of oneself. Their music is inspired by artists like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Tom Petty as well as Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Bonnie ’Prince’ Billy, Father John Misty and many more.
