Rory Wells AKA "Lighterman" spent the early days of Jungle and Drum N Bass pushing the sound he loved by promoting events and DJing in his home town of Luton before getting bitten by the production bug in 1999.



Drawing influence from his early years Lighterman pushes the more clean cut prototype jungle sounds that could take you right back to the Metalheadz golden blue note Sunday sessions era. With a love for tight break beats rather than the normal 2 step patterns Lighterman's music has been likened to early Photek and Hidden agenda style tracks as well as laying host to a whole new future jungle vibe.

With a work ethos of making every track sound individual from the last Lighterman pushes the boundary's with every track he writes and is keen for people to understand that he is an experimental artist who makes each track its own rather than following the shape of the last.

Lighterman is all ways hunting for new styles of music out side of the DNB scene from which to draw influences from to try and bring new and exiting ideas into his production to keep him one step ahead of the crowd.
