This music was written with inspiration from my father's paintings. He has been painting the sea of ​​Jeju Island, a beautiful island in Korea, since the fall of 2024. This music contains my desire to run through the sea in my father's paintings while I am in a foreign land without him.

Longing for the Father's Sea

Last winter, I visited Sooke. One afternoon, just before Christmas, the sea breeze felt strange. A typhoon was approaching. The waves surged fiercely, as if they were about to swallow everything whole. The place where I stayed was right in front of the sea. That day, I stood facing the wild wind, a mix of fear and anticipation swirling within me.

The sound of the ocean whispered like an ancient tale, while dark clouds cloaked the sky, casting a mystical aura over the scene. The crashing waves seemed to break the boundaries of the world, as if urging everything to be reborn anew. In that afternoon's symphony of wind and waves, I felt the raw power of nature and encountered the hidden enchantment within it.
