The Summerworld EP was recored in January 2012 at antFARM studios in Freehold, NJ. All songs were written, performed, and produced by Lightning Jar, with engineering help from Anthony Defabritus and Javier Rebollar.

Grey Grain

Fresh off the hiking trails of New Zealand, Jason Pomeroy and Nathan Maier returned home to the U.S. with a handful of songs and a renewed passion for creating music. After reuniting with an old friend Sean Marshall and relocating to the coastal city of Asbury Park, Lightning Jar was formed. They began composing together a series of folk songs that explicated the mystery of the quarter-life crisis, tackling feelings of their unified struggle for identity, self-discovery, alienation, and young adulthood. In May 2011, Jason Reynolds was added to the band's line-up, bringing an equal balance of power and depth to their developing sound. Lightning Jar may now be heard frequently around the venues of Asbury Park and the Tri-State area opening for the likes of recording artists The Devil Makes Three, Dangermuffin, and Daphnie Willis.
