A combination of radiant synths, infectiously swung bass notes and a truly distinctive vocal, the overriding aesthetic is absorbing and blissfully mesmerising. The Yin to its glossy Yang lies between the beats which are steeped with impact throughout. The bottom-end pulses in perfect harmony; tuned kicks, EQ'd with precision, cut through the lower-mid melodies laying rock solid foundations for a subtle groove to evolve.  The mix of its rousing core and lush delivery makes 'At Your Touch' somewhat hard to place but all the more standout for it.

Riding the wave shaped these last 18 months by their Continental imprint and a flock of standout releases (singles by Reflex, RÜFÜS, Shindu, Cyclist, Adamski…) JBAG aka Jerry Bouthier and Andrea Gorgerino are finally unleashing their tropical gem ‘Mogadisco’ on September 23rd.

The ace video designed and directed by Brazil’s Caio Zini has been posted all summer on some of the best blogs out there after the track was included on Kitsuné Soleil 2, Bouthier’s last dj mix in collaboration with soulmate-dj Gildas Loaec - boss of the renowned Parisian brand. Causing a bit of a steer ‘Mogadisco’ is Kitsuné Soleil 2’s biggest single download seller.

After a long stretch of remixes for the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Ladyhawke, S-Express, Gigamesh, Punks Jump Up, Kamp!, Jupiter… the London-based DJs/producers have completed their second single and what a party starter it is. Filled with exotic marimbas, carnival steel-drums and an infectious ‘Pop-Corn’-flavoured synth lead, ‘Mogadisco’ is an exhilarating yet almost spiritual ode to hedonism that implores you to loosen up and enjoy the moment.

Bouthier’s experience at rocking dancefloors with personal and inspired sets, always looking for exciting new artists whilst also digging the past (he was resident dj of east London’s infamous BoomBox), has made him a reliable, trustworthy spinner regularly linked to Kitsuné; not forgetting his long-running relationships with designer Vivienne Westwood and others, crafting esoteric soundtracks for the catwalk as well as providing fun at fashion week parties. On the other hand Italian ex-pat Gorgerino’s musical pedigree is impressive, the classically trained musician turned skilled producer is as comfortable penning profound ear-catching melodies as he is riding the mixing desk with fervour. The pair like to think they make Balearic pop incorporating their many influences. JBAG is now starting to perform together live dj sets with keyboard and FX.

On the remix front Milan’s Fare Soldi provide one of their trademark funky chuggers just on the right side of sanity. Berlin’s Pharaoh Black Magic goes all mystic and elegiac while keeping the pumping factor high. Last, Athens’ latest prodigal son ELIOT delivers a deliciously 90s rewrite that’s actually not that tongue-in-cheek.

For our latest release, we teamed up once again with Helsinki based producer Jesse Oliver, an individual who debuted last year with his superb collaborative with Jay Lamar ‘Diamonda’, a record that topped the Beatport chart. Jesse Oliver returns here with his first solo outing, the excellent ‘Oceans’ featuring two brand new original cuts and a remix from Mirror People.

The package kicks off with the original version of the title track, a richly layered slice of disco infused electronic music that bring together soaring melodies, bright piano chords and rolling drum programming to create a sumptuous and timeless production with a classic Balaeric feel. ‘Oceans’ is followed by the superb ‘Nicodemus’ that sees Oliver journey further into modern disco with its fusion of uplifting melodies, emotive drops and rock solid production, quality stuff. The package is completed as Portuguese disco-house producer Mirror People takes on ‘Oceans’, reworking it into a blissful, peak team floorfiller that retains all the character of the original whilst bringing its own style to bear.

Bot’Ox and their beloved friend from Australia, Sidwho, have talked about doing a track or two together for a long lime. But both were super busy, Bot’Ox working on their series of singles leading to their 2nd LP « Sans Dormir » (out late October 2013) and Sid into half a dozen projects (releasing a solo LP for DFA, touring with Empire of the Sun or with his own project The Swiss, etc.).

Finally Sid sent Bot'Ox vocal parts, and Cosmo Vitelli and Julien Briffaz brought together the Bot’Ox crew (Juan « Dye » de Guillebon on bass and Jeremy Hickey on drums) to record a session « the old school way ». « Daylight » was meant to be recorded live, edited like an old extended disco track though trying to keep a modern touch on it. 
The original comes out with amazing remixes. Who else than Jacques Renault could provide a perfect rework of it? He’s the one you’d ask first to turn a classical disco track into a modern dancefloor burner.

And we’ve been long time fans of Domenico Torti, who was part of the very first Cliché Breaks release many years ago. If you don’t know him Domenico Torti was a master in Reel to Reel editing, and did many additional production on some of the best material released by Dimitri From Paris (remember his Stetsasonic remix).
It’s an unusual single compared to the recent I’m a Cliché releases, but if you follow and like the label, you might do it because it’s versatile and eclectic. We hope that « Daylight » will find you as well as the first rays of the summer.
