Ascension is the last in my trilogy of albums dedicated to Dante Alighieri's 14th-century epic poem the Divine Comedy (the other two albums are ‘Nine Circles’ and ‘Purgatory’).
This album focuses on the heavenly bodies and the final journey to Paradise. The names of each of the tracks refers to levels and chapters of Paradise.

No remixes, no collaborations, no record label, no filler, just 10 high octane tracks oozing with power.

LIGHTS A.M presents timeless electronic music from the North. This 6-track EP features mostly vocal based tracks with very emotional lyrics dealing with our journey towards a more heart-centered and compassionate state of being without neglecting the darker aspects of our lives.
 
LIGHTS A.M (read LIGHTS AFTER MIDNIGHT) produces unique and cinematic electronic music evolving into melodic dreamwave with a touch of ambient and 80’s electronic pop manifesting that the future is now! Influenced by instrumental and cinematic electronic music and soundtracks from the 70’s and 80’s acts like VANGELIS, BRIAN ENO and EDGAR FROESE (TANGERINE DREAMS) or some more recent works by the likes of SURVIVE, CLIFF MARTINEZ, M83, etc.
 
This is music coming straight from the heart of Erlend Eilertsen also known as the frontman of the electronic rock band ESSENCE OF MIND, who got into a creative bubble and created LIGHTS A.M to channel his deepest feelings, thoughts, light and dark in an emotional and uplifting way.

After the first single teaser «Lightworker», Lights A.M is ready to present his
unique and cinematic electronic music which evolves into melodic 
dreamwave with a touch of ambient and retro electronics manifesting that the past and future is now!
Organic and electronic, combining instrumentals with vocal tracks to create a soundtrack for deep moments and visual journeys, only limited by our own imagination and creative space.

In 2019 Lights A.M released the regular EP «Shine Our Lights» showing the melancholic electronic pop side of the project, and which led to signing a record deal with the Belgian label Alfa Matrix.

After re-releasing the debut EP on Alfa Matrix, Lights A.M is currently in the studio working new material to be released in first half of 2020.
