DJ Dem Ones delivers a lively LiT MIX of dancehall, reggae, moombahton, r’n’b, afrobeats and trap to keep us bubbling through winter! 

Representing #mightygang from Brampton, @djdem-ones has energized crowds across Canada as touring DJ for Haviah Mighty. Lucky west coast listeners will recall just before Covid closures hit last spring, this dynamic duo went in on a Boiler Room set at Vancouver’s Fortune Sound Club. Watch it on Youtube, along with their Caribana-themed music video “Ba Na Na” with A Tribe Called Red, and you’ll see how Dem Ones is more than a DJ, she’s a hype woman backing up her performing partner on the mic, dancing and vibing up the crowd too. 
 
We’ve loved the mixes she’s released this year including her Rhythm & Bae and Fusion Freestyle sets, and a guest mix for Icarus Sound. Musically Dem Ones’ LiT MiX selections balance classics made fresh with current riddims, edits and blends, with anthems from pop hits to underground secret weapons—ID seekers peep the tracklist, shhhh. And dancers check the Youtube playlist for some inspired dance videos from around the world accompanying the tracks.

Mixing wise, the cuts are quick, the dubwise effects are live, and you can tell she had as much fun recording this LiT MiX as we will dancing to it. No wonder she’s the fox with the aux at house parties - now if only we could catch her on tour again soon, that would be fantastic!
