Sharpnesses And Tremors

The song "Letim" (“I’m Flying”) is an original composition by members of the Prlek Aeroclub, dedicated to the memory of club members Jože Gajser and Aljaž Caf, who tragically lost their lives 20 years ago in an aviation accident caused by a technical failure of the motorized hang glider on which Jože, as a flight instructor, and Aljaž, as a student, were learning to fly.

The song "Letim" describes the grandeur of flying and the feelings we pilots experience when we are up there, high above everything that burdens and weighs us down on the ground — when we are close to the sun and close to our departed colleagues…

You drive down the road like you’re in a rush,
Searching for your soul’s relief in deadly hush.

Five days passing; Jekyll reclaims his lost control,

What’s the reward you’ll find in this haunted land,
For the life you lost?

At long last, I catch you in your hiding place,
Find the remnant of the fetters you’ve embraced.
Voices call you: “Hey, Don’t ride the train that leads you toward darker days.”
With a sigh, you say: “I’m lost inside these nights! – Please, don’t tell a soul.”
So I’ll hide the car keys to help you stay,
But I hope you’ll find your way back home one day.

But I sense you’re fighting hard to retrieve your stand,
For a better life!

You’re bravely facing creeping fiends that catch you in twilight’s hold.
You’ll become that kind man again.
But a closer look shows you can’t heal the gaping wound, can’t mask the truth ’cause it’s too late.
I wish it were a dream;
You’re just a shadow of your former self.

My new piece based on a theme that surfaced when I was writting my resigned and dark Intermezzo, which in contrast, turned out to be one of the brighest and joyfull of my creations, very lively and bursting with vitality, almost reminding me of a spring flower that ascended from a damp graveyard.
This piece was probably the one I've written in the shortest amount of time,  majority of it written in a mere several hours.
