Actually had this done a few weeks ago as a challenge to myself to get something together within two weeks. Had a lot of fun at the trying to mix outside of genre again though I don't think the first half flows super well because of it, am super happy with the later half though.

Journey To The Center Of The Bass

there's so much that went wrong and delayed me making this and honestly, it's far from the best it can be but I need it done and out there so here it is, imperfect but complete

Hooked On A Van Houten

We back at 174 for a bit of driving bass, ended up chopping the first quarter of this off and rebuilding it entirely, pretty happy with this one.

tried more had cuts between tracks which is a bit outside what I normally like to do but I've always liked that feel on the dance floor when there's this fun tilt in the beat and bass.

B - A-M - F - Home Session (DNB)

Set I threw together for the NOTW end of year gig, Little proud of this as I threw it together in three days, a big improvement of three months for my last one.

It's definitely not perfect and I lifted the end off one of my other sets on here (I just really wanted to hear those two tracks on a big system) but I had a blast with it and so much fun playing it out.

This is the live recording from the night so the beginning and end are a bit abrupt due to me just having to cut my section out from the recording of the entire night.

Feeling really happy with this one, got to play some songs I'd be dying to really roll out on a big sound system and had such a blast throughout the rest of the night.

Management - NOTW - Live Recording (140)

Set I played as a Wild Card entry for the first NZ based Your Shot competition, I didn't place at the end of it but I still had a blast, had lots of positive responses to my set as well which was really lovely.

I like to approach sets like it's telling a story and for how I play, it's hard to tell a complete story in 25 minutes but I'm pretty happy with what I managed to do, I do wish I'd have had more free time to maybe play around with it all a bit more but, for what it is and the time I had, I'm proud of the end result.

Fox Glove Your Shot Wildcard Entry 2023

A year ago I got to play a intimate little festival and roll out a set that was quite special to me.

My life had been going through some big changes and I was definitely having a lot of feelings about a lot of things then Megumi Hope dropped and it just became the music that I channeled my feelings through and kicked off the inspiration for this set.

Fox Glove Live Recording Adrift Festival 2023

Here it is, my set from Northern Bass 23/24

It was such a big experience being there, this is the 4th year I've been to northern bass, the 4th year I've worked there but the first year I've played and it taught me so much.

I got super lucky with my set and got a rare sunny portion of the day, it was great looking out and seeing everyone happy to be dry and warm and to be providing some music for them as part of the experience.

I made some of the biggest mistakes I've made yet when I played this, a couple of loops went wrong and it created some chaos, this version uploaded is a more idealized version and minus some extra bits I played at the end of it live when (because aforementioned mistakes) I discovered I still had longer to play than I thought.

I'm so greatful for my time there doing it, so greatful for all the people that came and cheered and danced, that hugged me and became part of the experience with me, I appreciate you all so so so much, you all made me want to do it again <3

Fox Glove Northern Bass Liquid Lowdown Take Over 23 - 24

I had the privilege to play music during the effigy burn in Raglan and this is the set I put together for it.

I tried to theme the tone to follow a death and rebirth feeling punctuated throughout with songs that in themselves referenced cycles, rebirth, death and life but also (to my ear) carried beats and patterns and rhythms that had the energy of crackling and billowing flames. I really wanted to make sure what I was bringing was there to enhance the moments instead of take attention away.

I think, as I ever do with all sets, there are songs I'd change if I had more time with it but that's part of all this and fits the theme for elements of this set will be reborn anew in future ones.

Thank you Raglan for hosting me and letting me be apart of the experience there, it was definitely special.

here it is, the live recording of my support set for the mighty Particle!

I'm immensely proud of this, I personally think this is my best set yet, a range of dark heavy and minimal through to jungle and some liquid and a peppering of a few other things.

this was so much fun to play and it was so great being able to stretch myself genre wise in a live environment.

Fox Glove Live recording @ NOTW Particle 2024

The set I played for George FM's Local Sauce show, had a great time with this, first time I've tried a BPM shift mid set and pretty happy with how it came out.

This was a really fun opportunity, weirdly playing on the radio brought back the same nervousness I used to get when I first started playing gigs, definitely hope I get more opportunities like this, I really enjoyed it.

Fox Glove Northern Bass Liquid Lowdown Take Over 24 - 25

Couple of false starts getting this up but here we are, what is the best approximation of my set that I can put together from Dimension 2025.

This is very much a best attempt as I went in with very little prep, just a bunch of tunes rammed into a playlist the week before (and some crammed in the day of my set) and then just hoping for the best, this recording is me using that same set list to try and capture at the very least, the general flow and essence of what it was in the moment.

The whole experience of this was really incredible, Dimension continues to be where I go to truly play what I love and the first festival to give me a space to do it when I was starting out. This time was elevated by getting to drive the incredible Boom Candy sound system for it as well as being trusted with what if definitely the most "prime" time slot I've ever had and to cap it off, the presence of some of my favourite producers.

To reveal behind the curtain a bit, it had been quite some time since I have had the opportunity to play a more bass focused set and I'd lost a bit of confidence which got shook more when I played a couple of sets at kiwiburn that just didn't meet my personal standard of how I want to perform. I was really anxious committing to the genre for Dimension and almost just pivoted to doing a DnB set since I've been getting booked for that a lot more recently and feeling more confident in my skills with it.

But I'm glad I stuck to it, this set might not be my most cohesive but lord it was fun and reminded me that this should be fun, I get up there to enjoy myself and share the cool music I've found. Feeling much more back in the saddle with it all and excited for when I can pull another one.

Little pop up at burgerfuel radio. Took the opportunity to play around with some music I hadn't touched yet. Kept it a bit safe cause it was new stuff but got a bit more bold as things went on, definitely some misteps and mistakes (the clashing vocals is fun) but it was a lot of fun to do.

The cursed set! I recorded this a total of five times and each time something different would go wrong (even this one isn't without issues but it's the best I can do without getting obsessive)

This is a fusion of two sets really. A cool crew known as indisputable had me in for a fantastic doof they put on, I had a blast and loved most of the set I played so I used that as the DNA for my set opening for Skeptical so ultimately this is two halves of two different sets to make one.

had the absolute honour of playing the closing set for Halogenix for the liquid lowdown at neck of the woods.

it was honestly hard knowing what to come in and play, the man truly has such a diverse library and I'll openly admit to agonizing a bit over what the right choices would be but I'm happy with where I fell with it.

expect some rollers, a bit of jungle and just some straight up liquid, a bit of everything you need to dance and then wind down to.

I've dreamed of using Fixed Income by DJ shadow as part of an opening for a set ever since I started DJing and it felt right to tick that box along with having SpectruM launched.

I was pretty exhausted by the time I got up to play having just done two long days setting the space up for the gig so you'll have to forgive a couple of mistakes in it.
